Description
A sketch of one of my Legend of the Five Rings characters, Kakita Koshin, the wandering swordmaster. I retired Koshin from active duty some time ago, but he still shows up once in awhile as an NPC in the current campaign. Seeking truth in the challenges of the sword, this wanderer travels the Empire and beyond...
The idea for the background came from a description that one of the current PCs gave upon encountering Koshin in the forest. He said that he expected a wolf, not a man.
Artistically, I like how Koshin turned out, although I would give him a bit more detailing if I was doing this sketch now (the Koshin is from 2005-2006 or so). The wolf, despite being a quick job, turned out pretty good, for a first try.
