Some people just want to watch the world burn.
It's been a while since I felt like doing any Exalted work, but our last session was a lot of fun, and that got me back to it, at least for a little while. Exalted inevitably gets me thinking about the Scarlet Empress, the Ebon Dragon, and the comparisons and contrasts between the two of them. I think that the Empress is a neat NPC because I'm always finding different ways to approach her story and her fate, like she's a Shakespearean tragedy unfolding. It's a lot of fun to mull over.

My favorite way to Story tell her, I've found, is to make her scheming, whilst sabotaging herself at the same time. Cause I can't believe the old her would have given up so easily, to let the new her take over.
